The wine is coming from a plot called “La Navilla”, situated in the same estate where the winery is located, and facing a very optimum south west position. Bright yellow straw color, with green hints that reflect its youth. Aromas of tropical fruits (pineapple) and citrus fruits first appear along with white fruits (apple) and herbs, such as boxwood and fennel. Dry with an amazing balance of freshness and acidity. Good structure and body given by its fine lees aging. Long finish with a slightly acidic palate, typical of the variety. Pair with white fish, tuna, sushi, seafood rice, paella & pasta.
Clear deep ruby-purple color. Clean and distinguished aromas of black cherries and blueberry jam. These berry jam flavors attack the palate with juiciness getting smoothed out with light vanilla and delicate milk chocolate and roasted java bean. On the palate the wine is dry, full-bodied with firm but ripe velvety tannins and a long finish.
Floral nose with light red fruits on the palate, balanced by enough acicdity to create a bright fresh mouthfeel. From Catalan, Marc Isart is head winemaker at the much acclaimed Bernabeleva, where he spearheaded the property’s transformation to biodynamics.
This is so perfumed and floral; it just rises out of the glass with crushed berries, strawberries and violets. Medium to full body. Firm and silky tannins. Lovely length and brightness for this hot and dry vintage. Drink or hold.
Peña Aladas, or “winged stones” refers to a group of small, rocky vineyard plots well over 100 year old in age and surrounded by pine forests.
Mostly peppery on the nose with cherry and blackberry hints. The palate is gentle thanks to depth and freshness provided by humid winds coming from the near ocean.
From the hot, dry plains of La Mancha in southern Spain, comes this red wine with copius fruit and pleasant tannins. Sunshine in a bottle, a great every day wine, made for everyman; a fine accompaniment for all types of meat, cheese and pasta.
On a map, the Canary Islands look like small bouys floating off the coast of northern Africa. It's not often a white wine serious enough for international cult status comes from here, but Suertes del Marques has figured it out.
