“Dair Ghaelach” means quite simply, Irish Oak.While the name may be simple, the story of this whiskey is unique. This whiskey has been finished in casks made from virgin Irish oak grown in Kylebeg Wood on the Ballykilcavan Estate, near Stradbally in Co. Laois.
While evidence for whiskey distillation in the north of Ireland reaches back over 1000 years, Bushmills was granted its license to distill in 1608, making it the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world. Here along the River Bush, generations have passed on this whiskey tradition.

Léoville Barton is not only a highly-regarded grand cru Château, but one that takes it's name from the Irish 'Wine Geese' winemaker Thomas Barton. In fact, Léoville Barton is still run by his descendants to this day. This bottling is a celebration of shared Irish heritage.
