Domaine Pere Caboche Cotes du Rhone 2021
The color is a beautiful ruby red with violet highlights. Expressive on the nose, with jammy red fruits and soft spices.Particularly silky on the mouth, with very fine grain tannins. This wine also shows a very nice freshness. The whole is elegant and pleasing, with a dominating aroma of ripe fruits, grey pepper, and a hint of sage. The finish Is soft and fresh, almost minty. A nice Cotes-du-Rhone to be fond of, accessible to all.
For generations this winery's family has been both wine growers and blacksmiths. The owner's father Théophile Boisson was orphaned when he was only three years old, hence he was unable to train to as a blacksmith. Fortunately his mother helped foster a keen interest in grapes and wine, that led to him becoming a wine maker. The family nickname of “Caboche” derives from the old Provencal word for horseshoe nails, by which our estate is still known.
